Get a Close Look at Land Legacy Projects

7/06/2008

Land Legacy now lets you get up close and personal with its completed projects with its new interactive maps. Now you can pinpoint project sites, zoom in for a close view and get photos and additional information.

A total of 24 project sites have been identified for inclusion on the map, including sites with multiple projects, such as the Fort Sill Private Lands Initiative.

The new page, located here, opens with an overview of Land Legacy's completed projects in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

But with user interaction, the map comes alive with pictures and information. For example, double-clicking on the map lets you zoom in on the area. Once you've zoomed in, you can move the map around just by clicking and dragging the map around. Need to zoom out? Just click the Minus icon in the upper left-hand corner of the map.

Want information about the project site? Just click on a pointer. A pop-up window will appear with information about the site, along with a scenic picture of the area. The information includes a short description of the project and the key partners involved in making the project come to life.

If you forget these instructions, move the pointer over the Map Help link on the page. You'll see a short list of instructions.
